You might see weeds, but I see wild flowers

Caldecotte Lake

Today, me and the boy had our daily fix of the local lake.

Since no-one reads this blog it really doesn't matter what I say; but there were some good birds, and some twats too.

Despite some signage, a few idiots still choose to ignore the warnings ............... or maybe they are just stupid, ignorant arseholes.

Plenty of birds to see around the lake today, even 3 Oystercatchers.

A pair of Collared Doves were looking very content,

nesting close to where they were sitting.

Some of the local birders have been getting very excited today about reports of a White Stork flitting around. Is it a 'real' bird? Is it an escapee?
Can't they just appreciate a beauty for what it is? A beauty, without a fucking autopsy of its credentials of where it might have been, where it could of come from, and can I 'tick' it?
Twats!

Back in the real world, the Cowslips have been looking good.

Plus today I saw my first Swifts of the year.
